Bargaining her soul had literally cost her .... her life.

Sionne Webster comes to in a new body, that of a recent suicide an unpopular, mousy girl. She’s got no clue who this chick was, or why her body was chosen for Sionne’s Earth resurrection. What Sionne does know is that she’s only got a few days to find her own murderer before the demon master, Tevit, whisks her back to Hell, hopefully with a killer in tow. Until she discovers that her unknown body donor IS her murderer. Unknown to the demon, Sionne has no intention of returning to the fiery pits, not when all she needs is a human guy to fall in love with her. Luckily, something has delayed Tevit, but any day now, he will seize the body, no questions asked, and toss it to River Styxx with her trapped inside. A slight problem...

Now Sionne will do anything to keep from going back to Hell, even depend on the hot, sexy chaos demon that she had to ... get closer to... as a part of the resurrection ritual.

The clock is ticking...

Resurrection the Returned series eBook Kish Knight Cheryl Parsons

Resurrection was a fun and interesting read. The main character Sionne is funny, sassy, and dynamic. Her vanity led her to sell her soul to the devil for perpetual beauty; however, her life expectancy was lower then she anticipated. The interesting part is she suspects it was one of her friends who killed her. We get a glimpse of her friends in the story when Sionne is watching her own funeral which is a strong way to start a story. So right off the back Kish Knight hooks you in.

There are many subtle twist that begin to develop in Book 1 that can only account for good writing; especially, when Sionne's soul enters the body of a suicide victim Taryn. We get introduced to Taryn as her supposedly dead mind starts to merge with Sionne. Now Sionne becomes mixed into the life of Taryn and her friends, which turn out to be connected to Sionne's life in some mysterious way. I can't wait to find out how they are connected. I do wish she wasn't so goo-goo over her demon hubby so quickly, but he does sound pretty hot (no point intended). There were a few moments in the book that were a little confusing but the story is so good it's easy to ignore it. I will be recommending this book to my friends.

Resurrection the Returned series eBook Kish Knight Cheryl Parsons Reviews

Resurrection was a quick sassy read! The main character has attitude; I love rebelliously strong females. Due to vanity, Sionne makes a deal with the devil for beauty but when you make a deal with the devil do expect to get tricked and she did. Two years later she’s at her funeral watching everyone she loves mourn her. Well, mostly everyone. Now Sionne makes another deal, she really needs to stop making deals, to go back to earth to find out who killed her. Only, she has a secret mission to find a way to stay on earth permanently. Once she arrives, things already start off on a bad note but chaos always makes for an interesting read. So how will she manage?
The book was witty, charming and a lot of fun. The main character was well developed and likeable. There was mystery which I like in a storyline and intrigue which kept me guessing. The action was perfectly placed and the writing was well versed. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was her vanity that got her into trouble in the first place and her attraction to her demon hubby. Overall the plot was thought out and believable. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next chapter. I’m hooked.
As the first book in this series this book is exactly as it should be. The introduction of the main characters and even the supporting ones have been done in a great way. Sionne before resurrection and even after is a witty, spunky 18 year old who is already half way in love with her demon husband, but she's now fighting with all her might to become human again after she makes Ryan, the human boy-next-door fall in love with her new self Taryn.
This book touches on every aspect that comes with being a teen, Sionne as the popular yet vain senior, Old Taryn and Nikki the goth misunderstood crowd and Ryan who seems to be struggling with his own secrets where Sionne/Taryn is concerned.
This book is awesome hands down and unique all in one. Can't wait for the other book of the series to see what happens next with everyone mainly Sionne and Ryan
